Other day I went to a school to attend one social function. The school principal called upon the bright students and felicitated them.
One of the school alumni, has secured 89th rank all over India in IIT-JEE exams. He along with his parents were called on the stage for felicitation. Holding 89th rank is really a huge achievements. The school principal was all praising. Teacher, understand more what it takes to achieve this feat. I also being an engineer and tech-savvy was very much impressed.
Few villagers were also present, who were also very learned and sucessful in their profession . When this IIT lad came on the stage for felicitation he had no smile on his face at all, he was blank with his reaction. He was into himself. The immediate reaction from village members why is he not smiling at all, what is this? They were totally indifferent for his achievement. Their reaction made me also astonished, What Really matters? really needs to ponder upon.
