It is said that Kakada was started by Shiva and its there from ages. And somewhere in the middle it get lots however last four centuries or so it got revived again.
It is a month long program, which starts at Kojagiri Pournima and ends at Tripuri Pournima. The aarti happens daily early in the morning from 5 till 7 AM. It contains sweet melodious bhajans mostly by Sant Tukaram and ends with beautiful Aarti. This traditional culture is mostly preserved in villages of Maharashtra.
